Section 32 is a venture firm founded in 2017 by Bill Maris, who previously built and led Google Ventures. It backs software-driven companies across technology and healthcare, from seed through growth, with a focus on frontier areas including AI, quantum, cybersecurity and computational biology. Portfolio names include Cohere, Scale AI and CrowdStrike, and the firm closed a $525m fund in 2023.
