Pillar VC is a Boston venture firm founded in 2016, leading pre-seed and seed rounds in science-led companies, many of them university spinouts. It manages around $400m and closed a $175m Fund IV in 2025. Industrial-relevant holdings include Simbe, which builds inventory robotics for retail, and Verve, maker of a wearable robotic exosuit for heavy lifting. Focus areas span robotics, semiconductors, hardware and manufacturing.
