The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund is a UK government-backed programme run by the British Business Bank, supporting small businesses across the North of England. Its first phase deployed more than 540m pounds of microfinance, debt and equity to over 900 SMEs. A successor fund, NPIF II, launched in 2024 with 660m pounds.
