Foundry Group was founded in 2007 in Boulder, Colorado by Brad Feld and partners, with $2.5B+ committed across multiple funds. In January 2024 the firm announced its current vehicle would be its last, with capital fully deployed by around 2026 and the team continuing to support existing portfolio. Foundry runs a network model: 70 active investments, 45 partner funds, 100 GPs, and 1,900 companies in the broader Foundry Network. Notable industrial-relevant investments include Fitbit and MakerBot in 3D printing, alongside WHOOP in wearable hardware.
