Its corporate venture activity runs through the Climate Change Investment Initiative (2c2i), launched in 2019 with the Exelon Foundation, which makes equity investments in early-stage climate-focused companies. The initiative has backed dozens of startups, many minority-led or women-led, working on clean energy and climate technology.
