DFJ, founded in 1985 by Tim Draper and based in Menlo Park, became Draper Fisher Jurvetson in 1997 and was renamed Threshold Ventures in 2019. Its core funds raised around $4bn and backed more than 300 companies. Holdings included Tesla, SpaceX, Skype, Baidu and Hotmail.
