The DARPA Embedded Entrepreneur Initiative (EEI) helps move breakthrough technologies from DARPA programmes towards commercial markets. It provides selected performers with non-dilutive funding, on average around 250,000 dollars, to hire a business executive, plus commercialisation mentoring and investor connections. Since 2022 EEI has helped DARPA performers raise over one billion dollars in private capital.
