Caterpillar Ventures is the corporate venture arm of Caterpillar, founded in 2015. It makes minority investments of around $2m to $10m in early-stage companies addressing energy decarbonisation, infrastructure and mining. The unit focuses on power, analytics, robotics, additive manufacturing and autonomy. Holdings include the battery-cell maker ElevenEs and the metal-casting company Magnus Metal.
