About
British Patient Capital is a commercial subsidiary of the British Business Bank, established in 2018 with £2.5bn to invest alongside private investors in UK-focused venture and growth funds. It is the largest domestic investor in UK venture and growth capital. Through its Future Fund: Breakthrough programme it invests directly into R&D-intensive life-sciences and deep-tech companies. It has committed over £160m to UK life-sciences funds.
