Boldstart Ventures is a New York firm founded in 2010 by Ed Sim, with about $1.1bn under management, backing technical founders building enterprise infrastructure. It coined inception investing, deploying first cheques before traditional pre-seed rounds in developer-first, cloud, cybersecurity and AI-native infrastructure. It raised a $250m seventh fund and is also based in Miami.
