About
Avanta Ventures was the corporate venture arm of the US insurer CSAA Insurance Group, founded in 2017 and based in Mountain View. It invested at seed to Series B in insurtech, mobility, fintech, cybersecurity and smart home, launching a $225m second fund in 2022. CSAA wound the unit down in early 2025, retaining the portfolio, which includes Kin Insurance and RapidSOS.
