Amazon invests in startups through corporate vehicles including the Alexa Fund and the Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund. The Industrial Innovation Fund, launched in 2022 with a $1bn commitment, backs companies in robotics, warehouse automation, supply chain and logistics technology. Investments have included the autonomous-forklift firm Agility Robotics and the mapping company Mantis Robotics. The programmes give portfolio companies access to Amazon's operations and customer network.
