Accel is a venture firm founded in 1983 by Arthur Patterson and Jim Swartz, with offices in Palo Alto, San Francisco, London and Bangalore. It invests in enterprise, SaaS and consumer companies from seed to growth stage worldwide. Accel has operated in India since 2008 and raised a $650m early-stage fund for India and Southeast Asia in 2025. Its Indian portfolio includes Flipkart, Freshworks, Swiggy and BrowserStack.
